Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm
Room: City
Description
In today’s world of accelerating change, business teams need new tools to make sense of their ever shifting opportunities, envision innovative possibilities, and work collaboratively to realize their goals. BizViz is a framework of visual thinking, communication and collaboration techniques intended to help these teams make ideas visible, tangible and persistent - and their work more fun and effective. Based on a remarkably diverse range of visual processes derived from product design, entertainment, architecture, among other industries, BizViz synthesizes the fundamental activities of business and design into a simple, powerful and easy to apply collaboration system.
This 90 minute interactive workshop will illustrate the core principles and essential visual patterns that most teams can apply to their projects:
- Discovery & Context: Making sense of current reality
- Vision & Purpose: Envisioning possibilities
- Goals & Strategy: Clarifying destinations and the means to reach them
- Design & Prototype: Approaches to coordinate work in the context of changing environments
- Culture & Communicate: Visual approaches for more effective meetings and presentations
- Measure & Reckon: The value and values of visual thinking
Workshop participants will not only learn about these approaches in theory but will have opportunities to apply them to a set of real-world problems. They will also see these tools applied using physical and digital representations.
