As we saw earlier in the day, sometimes static images aren’t enough. Lee and Sachi LeFever have been doing great work making the complex simple in their video series, …In Plain English. During this session, we’ll take a look at some of the videos and interview them about their approach and what they’ve learned so far.

Scott McCloud

We’re really excited to have Scott McCloud, a comics legend at the event. Scott has been writing and drawing comics since 1984. His book Understanding Comics was a New York Times Notable book for 1994, and is available in 16 languages. McCloud has lectured on comics and digital media at Harvard University, MIT, Pixar, Microsoft and The Smithsonian Institution. McCloud’s online comics can be found on his website at scottmccloud.com. His latest book, Making Comics, for which he just finished a 50-state-and-several-Canadian-province tour is in stores now, including the conference bookstore.
