Visual Learning Group

Hi VizThinkers!

This page is VizThinkers in the Learning Industry.  At VizThink08 Tom Crawford asked to see a show of hands of those in the Learning field.  I was stunned at how many hands went up.  It's exciting to see others in the learning industry seeing the value of Visual Thinking.

So now what?  Well, put your name on this page or send me an email (bschlenker(at)elearningguild.com) and I will add you.  We'll start here until we get at least 25 people and then we can discuss building a new areas for Visual Learning Group to hang out.

Add your name to this list:

Brent Schlenker - http://elearndev.blogspot.com

Jason Allen - www.entropymanagement.blogspot.com

Peter Stoyko - http://www.myschool-monecole.gc.ca

Let's not waste any time.  Put your visualization hat on and let's create a collaborative visual.

PROJECT 1:   Visualizing the transition from Learning1.0 to Learnin2.0

Description - I think we are all aware of the changing occurring with the web...TONS right?  Well we all need to "show it to management" so they also understand.  Management needs to understand that Social Networking, blogs, wikis, user-generated content, etc. are all going to play a major role in how work gets done and how learning occurrs within the enterprise.  Its not about the million dollar LMS.  Its not about the number of courses.  And its not about the number of dollars you spend on training per headcount.  Its about people connecting and collaborating.   Help me visualize it.

Yes.  Many images exist in the blogoshpere and within many books...great!  Let's pull 'em all together and see if we can do something more.

 Any players?

Submission #1: "The Evolution of Workplace Learning" Info-graphic (PDF file; http://www.fugitiveknowledge.com/PDF/Learning_Infographic.pdf) by Peter Stoyko [Comment: "Here are a few ideas about the transition, as seen from the vantage point of someone who works in a corporate university."]

This is great!  Nice job, Peter.  Anyone else want to get in on this? [brentschlenker]
