Description
During this session ..... USING VISUAL AND LINGUISTIC METAPHORS TO FIRE THE SYNAPSES, presented by DANIEL SALTZMAN.
Metaphors pervade ALL forms of knowledge transfer. All language is, at its core and origin, a metaphor for something else! Visual metaphors, in particular, are a dominant method for information transmittal and a powerful way to communicate. They allow you come to come to concept in an unexpected way, often yielding unexpected results. The focus of this presentation will explore the use of metaphors -visually and linguistically- and will examine the creative process of employing and working a metaphor through a case study approach.
As Enspire Learning's Creative Director, Daniel plays a large role in concepting, communicating, and developing strategic learning solutions for Enspire's Fortune 500 clients which include Disney, Adobe, Harvard Business School Publishing, and Cigna. Daniel's poetry and photography exhibits have been seen in Dallas, Lisbon, Cadiz, Madrid and Marrakesh.
