The program (highlevel):
1 Opening: VizthinkNL (JAM/GriDD/Vistago) welcomes you, introduction of our international guests
2 Parallel sessions (you can choose one):
a Visual doing: Dare2draw, improve and train your drawing and graphic facilitation skills
b Defining Visual Thinking: to define the industry perspectives and relate them in/to a big info-MURAL
c To be defined, probably Ole Qvist-Sørensen/Amber Nystrom “What can visual thinking do for the world”
d To be defined (depending on the nr of participants, more will be added)
3 Presentations of the parallel sessions
4 Tooling: how to share/discuss/interact online
5 Wrap up / drinks and some food
Based on the feedback from the participants on the 25th of September, we made some small adjustments:
- there will be a small fee to cover the costs. This will be 15 euros
- the session will be held in the afternoon, from 13:00 to 19:00
- the session will be sharper moderated
- since we know some international guests will be there, the general session will be in English
The 15 euros will be collected at the start of the session.

(dicht bij de snelweg, gratis parkeren direct voor de deur of achter de garage)
Deelname: gratis
Eten: Gezien de tijd zullen we rond een uur of 19:00 wat pizza’s laten brengen.
Maximum aantal deelnemers : 45
VizThink Netherlands zal bijeenkomsten organiseren met als doel visueel denkers samen te brengen. Dit zijn zowel mensen werkzaam in de grafische vormgeving, illustraties, video, animaties, etc. als uit het bedrijfsleven, overheden, onderwijs etc. , die behoefte hebben aan een effectievere en snellere manier om hun boodschap over te brengen aan anderen met behulp van beeld en visualisatie.
Donderdag 25 september vindt de eerste bijeenkomst plaats, waar we met visuele denkers van het eerste uur samen zullen brainstormen over het vakgebied, en gezamenlijk aan de slag zullen gaan met het visualiseren van de onderwerpen die ons binnen ons werk bezig houden. Het resultaat zal na de sessie worden teruggekoppeld naar de gemeenschap zodat iedereen er zijn voordeel mee zal kunnen doen.
Dus...
vind jij het leuk om te pionieren en een deel te worden van de ontwikkeling van visueel denken in Nederland en in jezelf, dan ben je van harte uitgenodigd om er de 25e bij te zijn. Huiswerk is het meenemen van jou visie op visueel denken die zal dienen als input voor het gesprek.

First event on the 25th of September!
On the 25th of September the Dutch Chapter of VIZTHINK will have its first gathering!
The focus will be on taking inventory of the visual techniques used by all who attend the event & see how they tie in together in the
larger field of visual thinking. Everybody who in some way has something to do with visualization in their own particular field of expertise
is encouraged to come and share their thoughts! Together we will create some way of throwing this back into the community for further
developement towards a growing understanding of what Visual Thinking is in Holland. By publishing the results of our session
we hope to challenge other countries to do the same... so we might compare our differences and comminalities online and in real life in october!

Why a VizThink community?
As the world gets more complicated, visual thinking and visual communication are becoming increasingly important skills.
Could some of the 30 million Powerpoint presentations given each day be improved?
Also in the Netherlands the relevance of visual thinking in business and design is dramatically increasing. A number of enthousiasts
have come together to initiate the first Visual Thinking Community meeting, to be held on September 25th 2008 In Amsterdam.
VizThink Netherlands is for anyone who wants to think more visually - regardless of how artistic you think you are.
VizThink Netherlands is intended to be a vehicle for the community to meet, learn and discuss the ideas around the notion of Visual Thinking.
Ideally these sessions will give people the tools they need to express themselves in new ways regardless of artistic ability. All VizThink Netherlands
events are open to anyone who wishes to attend, we just ask that you register in advance through the mechanism indicated for the specific event.
